Chanel’s immigration practice covers a comprehensive range of matters including family-based petitions, deportation and removal defense, work visas and employment-based immigration, and special immigrant juvenile cases. Beyond immigration, Chanel has extensive experience in personal injury and family law. She founded The Law Office of C. Payne, LLC in 2014 with a mission to provide accessible legal services to underserved communities. Her diverse legal background gives her a well-rounded perspective that benefits clients across practice areas.
Chanel has also served in public roles including Special Appointed Attorney General in Fulton County, where she prosecuted child support cases, and as a Court-Appointed Parent Attorney in Dekalb County Juvenile Court.

Chanel’s commitment to her community extends beyond her legal practice. She collaborates with organizations like Catholic Charities on immigration matters and founded the Atlanta Immigration Coalition, a nonprofit dedicated to providing pro bono immigration legal services. Education and Background
Chanel earned her Juris Doctorate from Ave Maria School of Law in 2013 and studied at the University of Western Cape in South Africa. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Clark Atlanta University. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
