Chanel Payne, Esq. is a distinguished attorney with a rich background in immigration, personal injury, and family law. She founded The Law Office of C. Payne, LLC, in 2014, with a mission to provide accessible legal services to diverse communities. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Chanel has effectively represented clients in various legal matters across Georgia.

​Chanel's legal journey began after earning her Juris Doctorate from Ave Maria School of Law in 2013. She became a licensed attorney in Georgia in 2014 and established her practice focusing on:​

  • Immigration Law: Assisting clients with family petitions, removal and deportation defense, work visas, and special immigrant juvenile cases.​

  • Personal Injury: Handling cases involving car accidents, workplace incidents, slip and fall accidents, and wrongful death claims.

  • Family Law: Addressing matters such as paternity, legitimation, and divorce proceedings.​

Beyond her practice, Chanel has served as a Special Appointed Attorney General in Fulton County, prosecuting child support cases, and as a Court-Appointed Parent Attorney in Dekalb County Juvenile Court.

Community Engagement

Deeply committed to her community, Chanel collaborates with organizations like Catholic Charities and has founded the Atlanta Immigration Coalition, a nonprofit dedicated to pro bono immigration casework. Her dedication ensures that individuals, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status, have access to quality legal representation.
